Integritas was formed in 2003 in response to the need for skilled nursing facilities to have more frequent, on-site medical practitioner services. The combination of caring for residents with higher acuity needs and realizing that many attending physicians could not economically justify being on-site more frequently created a demand for our new medical model…the Assistant Medical Director Model.

This Model of having a full time practitioner medically managing the care of the patients greatly benefits not only residents and busy physicians but adds significantly to the bottom line of third party payers and certainly of the facility. Patients benefit from timely, on-site medical assessments and even more appropriate treatment of their complex or chronic conditions. Attending physicians are able to improve the overall level of care for their geriatric patients by receiving better information from a medical practitioner’s assessment. Third-party payers benefit from medically necessary services being provided at a high-quality, lower cost alternative site of service, a skilled nursing facility, compared to an emergency room or hospital.
